Posted by Christopher Dagenais on October 7, 2019

The Pacific Northwest PGA Merchandise Show will take place at the Oregon Convention Center in Portland, Oregon. The show floor will be open for buyers on October 15 from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm and October 16 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.

What to expect at the Merchandise Show

The event will feature over 100 booths of golf-related goods, representing 250 companies. As a golf manager, you’ll be able to walk the floor and find everything you need for your operation. This is an excellent opportunity for you to discover new products and compare competing products with each other.

Making purchase decisions based solely on what salespeople and internet reviews tell you is challenging, but being able to see the products in hand and interact with them will give you much more confidence when choosing which products to spend your hard-earned money on.

Prepare your inventory for your purchases

You’ll be able to stock up on all of the items you’re going to need for next season, so make sure that you bring a tablet with you if you’re using a cloud-based club management software. You can check inventory levels on site and update them as you make purchases. Inventory management tools are incredibly powerful, you’ll save so much time, effort, and money when your POS is linked to your management software.

If you’re still using legacy software, you’ll need to bring a copy of your manual inventory reports. Take the time to make sure that these reports are up-to-date and organized before you go to the convention center, having inaccurate data could lead you to order the wrong amount of stock.
