4. A variety of on course activities
Part of being fun for the entire family means offering activities that aren’t just for those who are golf inclined. Whisky Run offers a variety of activities on the Owl course with the introduction of two full 18 hole frisbee and foot golf courses. The course also has an excellent restaurant with beautiful views of Lake Erie framed against perfect green grass
5. Its rich history
During the original construction phase the landscape architects discovered a series of old bottles buried deep in the ground. These discoveries led course management to believe the course sits on an old bootlegging site from the prohibition era. Long ago in the late 1700s the land was used to smuggle illegal alcohol across Lake Erie onto American land. This rich history is what led to the courses namesake, Whisky Run. Now you too can enjoy a glass of fine whisky at the club house while taking in the land that was so important to bootleggers in the prohibition era.
